John Powell

John Powell brings to Talent Partners over fifteen years’ experience in executive search, having completed over 425 assignments across a wide range of industry sectors and functional areas.

Sector expertise transcends telecommunications, technology, financial services, industrial and manufacturing enterprises and consumer goods.

John’s Functional expertise includes the appointment of Chief Executives, Chief Financial Officers, Chief Information Officers, General Managers, Marketing & Sales Directors, Human Resource and Communication Specialists.

Prior to joining Talent Partners, John was a Senior Client Partner with another major international search firm.

Before commencing his career in executive search in 1987, John was a General Manager with Chase AMP Bank with responsibility for client banking operations and marketing. Earlier to this, John was with American Express for seven years, initially as Head of Human Resources and, later, as Director of Card Member Services.

Born and educated in England, John migrated to Australia in 1979 and initially worked in human resource counselling before establishing his own human resource consulting business.
